Contest rules
Who can take part
- Class XI, Class XII and undergraduate students enrolled at a school, college or university in India. There is no age limit.
- Students under 18 confirm, by ticking a box when they register, that a parent or guardian has agreed.
- One registration per person: each mobile number and each email can be registered only once. Members of the organising team may take part but are not ranked for rewards.
How the quiz works
- The contest runs from 30 October 2026 to 20 November 2026.
- Every registered student can take the quiz once, from 30 October 2026 at 12:00 am to 15 November 2026 at 11:59 pm (IST).
- Each paper has 10 multiple-choice questions and 5 minutes from the moment you start. You may move freely, skip, clear or change an answer, then press Submit. Time taken counts until you submit, so submit as soon as you are done; the paper is submitted automatically when the clock runs out.
- Marking: +10 for a correct answer, −2.5 for a wrong answer, 0 for a skip. Maximum 100, minimum −25.
- Until results are published you only see that the paper was submitted. The answer key is released when the contest results are published.
Ranking
- After the quiz closes, papers are ranked by: higher score; then fewer wrong answers; then less time taken, to the second; then earlier submission, to the second; then, if still tied where it matters for a reward, a draw of lots by two organisers.
- Two organisers publish the list: one ranks it, a different one publishes it. Once published the list is fixed.
- If a question's key is found to be wrong, everyone who received it is marked correct for that question.
Rewards
- The top 20% of participants (rounded up) receive an Amazon voucher worth ₹500. There are no separate state or district prizes.
- The top 10% (rounded up) are invited by email to a final paper for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. Voucher and prize winners send a photograph of their student ID card before the reward is released.
- Every student who submits a valid paper receives an e-certificate of participation. Voucher winners, finalists and prize winners receive merit certificates.
Integrity
- Questions are shown in Hindi and English. Use your own phone or computer and a working internet connection; the clock does not stop if the connection drops.
- Leaving the quiz screen during a paper is recorded.
- Take the quiz only as yourself, on your own. An upheld integrity flag removes a paper from the ranked list.
- Results and cut-offs are published by participant code (KYV followed by seven digits), shown on your page.
